The Sugar Mill Restaurant, tucked away on the grounds of the Half Moon resort in Montego Bay, is essentially where Jamaican history meets a very polished, modern culinary scene. The restaurant is built into the ruins of an old sugar estate—the Running Gut Estate—and the centerpiece is a massive, 17th-century waterwheel that still turns.
